BrånemarkSystem dental implants
are the most scientifically documented in the world. And they are backed by more than 40 years of published results on their safety, predictability, clinical success, and longevity
Versatility
The Brånemark System comprises the broadest implant and prosthetic product offering
and is applicable for both hard and soft bone indication.
Implant design
The Brånemark System dental implants are self-cutting parallel-walled implants,
designed for versatility, reliability and simplicity.
Brånemark System MK II implant are especially suited for dense bone, and are efficient for dense
bone mandibular reconstructions.
External hex connection
All Brånemark System implants feature an external hex connection which is excellent for screw-retained
angled abutments and offers six to twelve positions.
Its short distance from the crow margin to the first implant thread is advaneageous for marginal thin soft tissue.
Enhanced osseointegration
TiUnite is applied to all Brånemark System dental implants for enhanced osseointegration.
Immediate Loading-A treatment concept with Brånemark System
The Immediate Loading protocol for the
installation of Brånemark System implants is recommended for use only
in the anterior mandible (between the mental foramina). In this region, good
initial stability of the fixtures, with or without bicortical anchorage, can
generally be obtained. Good initial stability of the fixtures is an ultimate
prerequisite to apply in the Immediate Loading treatment concept.
Brånemark System implants
Advantages
1. One surgical session
2. Psychological and social aspects
3. Reduced chair time
4. Significantly reduced treatment time period.
Inclusion Criteria The following inclusion are recommended for Immediate Loading treatment concept:
1. The patients should consider themselves to be in good general health.
2. The quantity of mandibular bone between the foramina should allow for the installation of four to six stable fixtures.
3. The patients should be judged to be non-bruxers.
Precautions Patients demonstrating divergent
occlusal and functional habits must be either treated with extreme care or
excluded from being exposed to the Immediate Loading treatment approach.
Furthermore, similar considerations are applicable to patients demonstrating
an increased risk of infection due to their general health condition.
Finally, in situations where the bone healing following extraction is not
completed, the traditional two-stage surgical protocol is recommended.
General precautions for implant treatment with Brånemark System are
applicable.
